Brady

Brady was a Boston resident and close friend of Noah Donelly. He helped Noah move to Baltimore in 2038 and remained close to him across the distance.

Physical Characteristics

Brady was the tallest of the friends helping Noah move. He was broad-shouldered, with sandy hair that stuck up in a cowlick.

Personality and Communication

Brady expressed excitement loudly and teased Noah without much subtlety. He noticed Noah’s interest in Jess Ross before Noah admitted it himself. When Noah later told him that he and Jess were together, Brady shouted his delight loudly enough that Noah pulled the phone away from his ear.

His teasing could give way to a quieter, steadier response. During that call, Brady asked Noah about Jess and Caleb Ross, told him that he had “hit the bloody jackpot,” and warned him not to hurt them. His concern for Noah and his new family remained present beneath the jokes.

Family and Core Relationships

Brady was married. He immediately called his wife over when Noah told him about Jess, wanting to share the news with her.

Noah Donelly

Brady helped Noah move from Boston to Baltimore, bringing a truck for the move. On moving day, he met Jess, Caleb, and Jae when they came to see the large Mufasa statue at Noah’s house. Brady joked to Cal that Noah would have been furious if the statue had been damaged on the drive. He noticed Jess immediately, commented on how pretty she was, and embarrassed Noah with obvious hints about his interest in her. When Jess helped carry boxes, Brady nudged Noah and later teased him about being single in front of her. Noah and Brady continued their banter over the pizza Noah had promised the moving crew.

Months later, Noah disclosed that he and Jess were officially together. Brady remembered her from moving day, exclaimed that he had known Noah was interested, and announced, “Doctor Downton’s been domesticated!” He called Caleb brilliant, asked Noah to treat Jess and Caleb well, and said he would drive down from Boston himself if Noah mishandled the relationship. Jess and Caleb already felt like family to Brady because of Noah’s happiness with them. Brady invited Noah and Jess to Boston for an in-person toast rather than celebrating only over a call. He and Noah kept in touch by phone and video call after the move.
